What are your rates and how are they determined?

Our rates are determined in many different ways. We are flexible and sensitive to our client’s needs Our standard rates are as follows:


  • Commercial accounts:
    • Standard: 15%-30%
    • Legal: 30%-50%
  • Retail accounts:
    • Standard: 30%-50%
    • Legal: 45%-55%
  • Medical accounts:
    • Standard: 25%-45%
    • Legal: 45%-55%

How can I list accounts?

Accounts can be listed via several methods and can be customized to fit your needs. Our fully automated systems, internet services, client service department and customer support personnel can design a system especially for you. No job is too small or too large for us to handle and every job is treated with the same professional, prompt and courteous service.


Is there a charge for assigning accounts?

Unlike many agencies that charge a service fee or listing fee, at TPC, we appreciate your business and free listing service is our way of saying thanks. We absorb the full cost of imputing your account information into our system as well as a client service staff to help make listing an account with us as simple and as trouble free as possible.


How can I find out the status of my accounts?

Finding out the status of an account after it has been placed for collection is as easy as picking up your telephone, sending us an e-mail or letter or just sit back and wait for your monthly to quarterly status reports. These reports can also be tailored to your specific needs and or business criteria and all at no extra charge.


Can I cancel an account after it is assigned?

Most accounts can be cancelled at any time after assignment if they were assigned in error with the exception of those accounts upon which we have filed suit or have established arrangements. Under no circumstances however will we allow an account to jeopardized our relationship with you our client. You can rest assured TPC will always keep your best interest first and foremost and will never place any of our clients in harms way.


How long do you work accounts?

It is our policy to work each and every account assigned to us thoroughly and to its completion. Unlike most agencies who only give certain accounts a minimum effort or no effort at all, we list all accounts over $25.00 with the credit bureau. We actively engage in a minimum of six (6) months to a year of aggressive collection activities, which include but not limited to phone calls, letters, skip tracing, credit verification, employment verification and litigation when warranted.We also maintain special watch, monitoring, and tracing program for accounts that require a longer period to resolve.

Are my accounts listed on the customers credit reports?

Yes all accounts assigned to us with a balance of $25.00 or more are listed with the credit bureaus, unless our client requires other certain arrangements.


How can I be assured of getting paid on the accounts you collect?

Accountability is our number one priority. We are not only a licensed and bonded corporation; we are also members of The American Collectors Association, the California Collectors Association, The Hospital Services Program and the Business Network International of Business Professionals. Our memberships in these organizations are not for bragging rights but for the comfort and trust of our clients. We want you to know that you can count on us to remit to you monthly funds collected on your behalf.


Do you file suits against debtors and if so who pays the cost?

We have a full and complete litigation department along with a network of support attorneys to handle the legal needs of our client’s. In most cases TPC, advances the cost of these services and in some cases these cost are either paid or shared by our clients. Our specially trained client support staff will work with you to design a legal service arrangement suitable for your needs.


How are complaints handled?

Whenever an complaint is received, it is immediately referred to a member of our management team. Their primary responsibility it is to determine the nature of the complaint and to refer it immediately with all the details to the appropriate administrative person. Our administrative staff will then immediately contact the required parties and take those steps that are necessary to resolve the issue professionally, expeditiously and mutually, where possible.


What do you do when the debtor is out of the area?

When debtors are located out of the area in which they are assigned allows TPC to utilized one of its most important resources and to show what set us aside from all the rest. Our global network of agents enables us to refer your accounts to an agent within the same geographic area as your debtor. This network of agents gives us the ability to take immediate action at a much lower cost and greatly increases the chance of recovery. We maintain control of the account, for your protection.


What happens to my accounts after you stop working on them?

In some cases even for us recovery is not possible and when this occurs those accounts are referred back to you with a detailed status report of each account. We can also provide for those clients who prefer that we not close and return account’s a “suspended account status”; wherein the accounts are placed in a suspended stage. Account in this stage are placed on a “watch alert” with the local credit bureaus and are reactivated when new information is received. They are also periodically checked for new or updated information that may make recovery possible.
